How do I get started?
Book a 15 minute consultation call by emailing lisa@afreshstartcounseling.org or calling 920-798-8480 to see if we are a good fit. We will then schedule your first appointment in 5-7 business days.
How often will we meet?
Most clients are seen weekly then move to bi-weekly or monthly depending on what your needs are. We will decide together what works best for you.
Is it confidential?
Yes! Everything is completely private and confidential. State law and professional ethics require therapists to maintain confidentiality, except if there is suspected child or elder abuse or neglect, or if the therapist has reason to believe the client is in danger of harming themselves or others.
What if I need to cancel an appointment?
Please provide 24 hour notice to avoid any charges. I do understand that emergencies happen and will discuss those individually.
Do you take insurance?
Please check with your insurance to verify coverage. If I am not in your network, I can provide a receipt for potential reimbursement. Paying privately can offer more flexibility and privacy since the third party insurance does not receive any information.
Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for counseling?
Yes, most Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts can be used to pay for counseling.
Do you provide crisis services?
No, for any emergency situations please call 911 or go to your local emergency room. For urgent/ non-emergent crisis situations please call 988 which connects you to your local crisis center.
